"Tobacco advertising has got to be one of the most morally questionable industries out there" (Click Here)
Nowadays, you hardly see tobacco advertisements; however, in the past, tobacco advertisements were common and very popular. During the 1950s-1960s, advertising agencies did whatever it took to portray smoking as a perfectly fine activity. At that time, experts started to warn the public about the negative health effects that can occur due to smoking tobacco. All of the tobacco advertisements at that time were very similar. They used sex appeal to grab people's attention. Also, they used children to demonstrate that cigarettes were harmless. All in all, these methods of advertising did not last long because advertisers could not manipulate the health facts.
